The Rolling Pin
Hey there!
I’m Allison, creator and baker for The Rolling Pin. Baking was the only thing I really wanted to do. After attending Culinary School for Baking and Pastry Arts, I started the Rolling Pin in 2012, baking cakes for friends and family. I love taking someone’s idea for a cake and seeing their joy when I deliver the finished product. I also enjoy experimenting with new flavors and recipes. Some of my tried and true recipes were handed down to me from my grandmothers and my aunts. There was always a fresh pound cake waiting for us when we visited my Nannie, and whenever I make my Grandma’s chess squares, I can picture her making them in her kitchen when I was a child. I was born and raised in Hendersonville, and I am so grateful to call it home. When I’m not baking, I love to travel, hang out with family, spend time outdoors, drink lots of coffee, and take naps.
